Robert H. Miner, DDS
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Robert H. Miner is a specialist of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to his training in medicine, neurosurgery, oculoplastics, head and neck surgical oncology and emergency medicine, Dr Miner’s surgery residency included extensive training and clinical practice in anesthesia, including IV sedation and general anesthesia. With these very safe anesthesia alternatives, he loves helping people have a good experience with extractions, implants, bone grafts and other surgical procedures through being put to sleep. Fully monitored and still breathing for themselves, patients are surprised and impressed at how smooth and pleasant their procedures are – they often don’t believe they’re done as they awaken!
Dr. Miner received his Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology from Brigham Young University in 1997. He received his dental degree in 2001 from the University of California, San Francisco and was a general dentist in the US Navy for four years. Dr Miner completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center and Dental School and Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2009 and subsequently served an additional four years as an oral surgeon in the Navy at Bremerton Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital and aboard an aircraft carrier.
Dr Miner loves interacting with people and enjoys being active. He is very involved at church and in the community. He and his family enjoy the many activities in and around San Diego!
